Days after sweeping new tariffs on US imports were announced, many are still wondering what the actual bottom-line impact will be on everyday products. According to analysts at one firm, Apple’s current flagship iPhone could soon cost up to $2,300 for high-end models.
Early estimates for iPhone increases post-tariffs are steep

The cheapest iPhone 16 model was launched in the U.S. with a sticker price of $799, but could cost as much as $1,142, per calculations based on projections from analysts at Rosenblatt Securities, who say the cost could rise by 43% – if Apple is able to pass that on to consumers.
A more expensive iPhone 16 Pro Max, with a 6.9-inch display and 1 terabyte of storage, which currently retails at $1599, could cost nearly $2300 if a 43% increase were to pass to consumers.
This is only one firm’s assessment of a possible impact, but I found the estimates fascinating nonetheless.
It’s one thing to read about the various tariff rates, and another to get actual numbers of how much prices might spike on products like the iPhone.
While investors hold out hope that Apple will get exemptions for some of its products, there’s still a lot of uncertainty ahead.
If those exemptions don’t come, has Apple stockpiled enough products in the US that it can avoid increases in the short-term?
Or is a $2,300 iPhone 16 Pro Max in the cards for the near future?
With tariff effective dates coming up soon, we shouldn’t have to wait too long to find out.
